Workato Partner Summit: The Force Multipliers of Intelligent Automation

It can be challenging for hyper-growth companies that are constantly moving forward to take a quick moment, hit the pause button, and acknowledge one of the key contributions to their success.

That’s why we felt it was important to bring together our key consulting solutions partners for one incredible day of inspiration, education, and product feedback. We’re hoping the inaugural Workato Partner Summit will be the first of many in the years to come.

“Our partners are our force multiplier for us to grow and scale as a company,” says Vijay Tella, Workato’s chief executive officer. “It’s a critical group to our mission because they have an intense depth of real world knowledge. We have great product knowledge but our partners know how to use intelligent automation inside and out to reinvent how work is getting done.”

While it’s never easy to spend a day disconnected from your job and professional responsibilities, let alone travel from halfway around the world to do so as some partners did, the summit provided a unique opportunity for Workato partners to have intimate access to senior leadership, attend workshops to learn new intelligent automation recipes, participate in round table discussions and panel Q&A sessions, hear presentations from key customers like Slack, as well as the chance to build their network and community over dinner and drinks at the event’s conclusion.

Among the 26 partners that flew in for the one-day event were large consulting firms like Accenture, PwC, Deloitte Australia, and NEC Japan, as well as specialist consulting firms such as Dispatch Integrations, whose clients include Slack; the Connor Group, whose clients include DataStax and DuoLingo; and Venn Technology, whose clients include Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

“This is our inner circle,” says Binoy Gosalia, VP of Partnerships at Workato. “They are pioneers in intelligent automations and an extension of our company. It’s a special community we want to nurture because of their commitment to helping other companies embrace automations that successfully transform their businesses.”

The theme of learning — from one another, from Workato experts, and providing valuable product feedback — was prevalent throughout the summit.

“From learning how to build new automation recipes to one on one time with executives, I learned more than I ever thought possible during this one day Summit,” says Ryan Clemens, Salesforce Consulting Director at Huron Consulting. “It’s nice to see a company help their partners both learn their toolset and plan for the future the way Workato did.”

In recognition of the hard work these partners have done to evangelize the power of intelligent automation with their own customers, the summit also featured several partner awards, including ones for strategic partner of the year, digital innovation, and specifical industry awards including financial services, HR, higher education, and nonprofits.

Among the award winners included Deloitte for strategic partner of the year, Accenture for best digital innovation partner, the Connor Group for financial solutions, and Sturgis Consulting for marketing solutions.
