How To Achieve The Number One New Years Resolution: Less Stress

It’s officially February – a time when many people abandon their New Years resolution while others are saying, “January was a trial month, I’ll start now!” Regardless of what you chose to give up or vowed to do more of, there are a few universal things you should always be working towards, and one of those things is stressing less.

Stress is bad for you and there are numerous studies to prove it, from negative effects on your memory and long term health to the simple fact that it feels bad. Google released its list of the “how-to” questions that saw the biggest spike in number of searches the week before and after New Year’s Day in 2015. At the top of the list: “How to get rid of stress.”

Mitigating Stress At the Office

According to Forbes, the average business professional has 30 to 100 projects on their plate. While trying to complete those tasks, studies found that modern workers were interrupted seven times an hour and distracted up to 2.1 hours a day. In those working conditions it can be incredibly difficult to get your work done and retain a work life balance, which is why more than 40% of adults say they have difficulty sleeping due to the stress of their day.

1. Sync your Google Calendars and iCal
