Confession Series Unanet

Assad Jarrahian, the CPO at Unanet (a leading provider of ERP and CRM solutions), and his team get ahead of the competition by looking beyond their clients’ and prospects’ current problems and tackling issues that might crop up in the months ahead.

One of their approaches to solving issues proactively, both for customers and prospects, involves using an embedded integration solution to implement product integrations quickly, easily, and at scale.

Jarrahian went on to share how their embedded solution—which they’ve branded as Unanet Connect—benefits his team, as well as his clients and prospects, during a recent Confessions of a CPO webinar.

Here’s a look at some of his key takeaways.

1. Delight customers and prospects by providing a solution before it’s requested

Since Unanet provides ERP and CRM solutions, one of the biggest concerns their customers and prospects have is around compliance.

In response, Unanet didn’t simply think about how to maintain compliance for their customers. They thought about potential compliance issues that customers could have and then, using Unanet Connect, built solutions via product integrations that could solve them.

Jarrahian went on to explain how this approach benefits their team in the context of selling:

“Prospects are asking (vendors) the same questions and the competitors are saying ‘I have plans of doing this’ and we’re like, ‘it’s here you can have it now’.”

2. Take work off of customers’ hands

Using ERP solutions often feels like a chore, with many users feeling forced to use them extensively.

Unanet decided to address this by looking for ways to help customers spend less time in their ERP system.

Their solution: They leveraged internal subject matter experts who could identify common workflows that the customer was likely to run with their ERP system. From there, these experts used Unanet Connect to build workflow automations that work inside their platform.

Jarrahian explained, “We turned it around and said it (building workflows that work with our ERP system) is our problem. We will productize this and simplify it for you.”

3. Innovate and improve upon your products quickly

When it comes to integrations, product managers often face the dilemma of purchasing them or building their own.

Since Unanet prioritizes the speed at which they could develop their products, purchasing an embedded iPaaS made the most sense. And the decision paid off in spades: Unanet Connect now offers 400 connectors and their team’s time to deploy integrations went from months to weeks.

As a result, their clients can tap into a wealth of integrations, making their products all the more sticky; moreover, Unanet’s platforms are now more competitive in the market, as they can connect to the various apps their prospects use.

As you can probably guess, Unanet Connect is powered by Workato’s Embedded Platform. You can read on to learn more about how our platform works.
