Happy Monday! Our recipe for today was crafted for Nonprofits but easily applicable to any business. When you want to send out SurveyMonkey surveys for a close case, you can use this recipe to easily send SurveyMonkey the details of your closed case so that you can send out the right surveys to the intended recipients without a second thought.

Note however that the SurveyMonkey API does not allow Workato to automatically send out the survey invites whenever the case is closed. To do so, you will need to go to “Messages”, “Create New Message”, and send the message to everyone who has not received the survey. More details can be found here.

This recipe works together with this recipe.

How it works

Trigger: When a case is closed in Salesforce.

Actions: Send survey invite via SurveyMonkey

Customization Options

Under the send SurveyMonkey “invite” action, you will need to select the specific survey using the “Survey ID” field and collector method using “Collector” field. Both fields are drop-down options. When you connect your SurveyMonkey account to Workato, the drop-down options will populate with actual survey and collector information from your SurveyMonkey account.

What you need to use this recipe

You should have a Salesforce and SurveyMonkey account that are both API-enabled. Add your credentials to the connections section if you are not already connected to the apps.

In SurveyMonkey, you will need to create a Survey and configure at least one Email Invitation Collector.
