The Philippines has been part of the Workato story for years. Long before we opened a local office or hired a country head, Filipino talent was already running customer success, support, and key business operations for Workato on a global scale. And now, we’ve made that commitment official.
On 22 April, we established Workato’s Philippines subsidiary and office, marking a significant milestone in our Southeast Asia expansion. Here’s what we’re building — and why it matters.
1. We’ve set up base in two key business districts
We’re operating from two locations: PBCom Tower in Makati, at the heart of the Philippine enterprise and financial district, and Axis Tower in Alabang, home to a large concentration of technology and operations talent. Both locations reflect where the enterprise action is in the Philippines and where we want to be present.
2. We’re hiring, and we’re growing fast
We’re aiming to grow our Philippines team by 20 to 30 percent by the end of 2026. Roles span product support, customer success, solutions consulting, and partner management, functions that will serve both the local market and Workato’s global operations.
3. We’re going to market through partners
We’ll be taking a partner-led approach in the Philippines, working with a select network of local systems integrators, technology alliances, and reseller partners. The goal is to build a market presence that’s well-distributed and well-supported, and to meet growing demand for enterprise modernisation and AI transformation in the country.
4. We’ve already been showing up in the market
For the past two years, we’ve been actively building community in the Philippines. We’ve sponsored technology conferences, hosted executive forums, and connected enterprise leaders around agentic AI and business transformation. More than 500 enterprise professionals have taken part in Workato platform training and community events over the past year. We have more activities planned throughout 2026.
5. Enterprises here are already building on Workato
We’re already working with customers across industries including retail and transport. Jollibee Foods Corporation, Philippine Airlines, and Prince Retail Group have been recognised as Pioneer Customer Awardees. The award recognises organisations that have been pioneers in connecting critical business systems and streamlining enterprise workflows on the platform.
What’s driving all of this
The Philippines is one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital economies. Enterprises across financial services, BPO, retail, and the public sector are accelerating technology investments, and AI transformation is firmly on the agenda. What makes the Philippines particularly compelling for us is that it isn’t just a market we serve. It has powered Workato from within for years. The official launch reflects both our belief in the market’s potential and a recognition of the role the Philippines has already played in our story.
Underpinning our Philippines expansion is Workato’s Enterprise MCP platform — the infrastructure layer that enables AI agents to take real action across enterprise systems. With over 100 fully managed MCP servers and an enterprise-grade MCP Gateway, we give organisations a secure, governed way to connect any AI agent to the data, tools, and workflows that run their business.
We’re just getting started here. If you’re an enterprise in the Philippines exploring AI and automation, we’d love to connect.
