Advanced Project-Level Permissions (RBAC 2.0) is now generally available!

With Project-Level Permissions, admins can now manage access to a specific project through group assignments! This gives admins more control over access rights, minimizes overpermissioning, as well as prevents role sprawl.

 What's new:

  • Granular project permissions: Set access levels for each project. For example, a user can now have "read-only" permissions for Project A while having full "read-write" permissions in Project B.
  • Collaborator groups: Create and manage permissions for collaborators through groups for more efficient access control.
  • New Project Administrator role: Project Administrators have project-level access management without workspace admin rights.
  • Scalability: Developer API support + SAML/SCIM integration for group management.

All new workspaces get advanced project-level permissions by default (starting Oct 8, 2025). Bulk migration tool coming soon for existing customers.

Customized Connection Widget

Embedded Partners can now hide, lock, and pre-fill fields within Workato’s Connection Widget to simplify authentication and eliminate friction for end customers.

Partners can remove optional fields that previously caused confusion, pre-populate standard values, or lock critical settings to prevent errors. Plus, new schema APIs make it easier to identify which fields can be customized for each connector.
