Changelog
Keep up with the latest updates we’ve made in Workato.
Data Tables: Formula Lookup
You can now perform direct lookups on Data Tables using formulas, similar to Lookup Tables (LUT), making recipes cleaner and more efficient.
- Use the new data_table_lookup() formula to fetch records inline without extra steps.
- Reduces task count by eliminating separate search/get actions.
- Matches the familiar LUT pattern for consistent, intuitive recipe building.
- Great for scenarios requiring multiple lookups with minimal complexity.

Snowflake Key Pair Authentication
To align with Snowflake’s deprecation of password-based authentication in November 2025, Workato now supports Key Pair Authentication for Snowflake connections.
- New authentication type available in connector setup with fields for Private Key and optional Passphrase.
- Supports both encrypted and unencrypted keys to meet varying security requirements.
- Encryption algorithms supported include AES128, AES256, 3DES, PBE-SHA1-RC2/RC4, and more.

Platform Connector Updates: April 2025
For April 2025, SAP SuccessFactors adds OData v4 support and expands entity coverage, while Workday introduces enhancements for scheduled reports and settlement runs. NetSuite improves SOAP flexibility with custom XML support, and Jira ensures API compatibility ahead of deprecation timelines. IDP by Workato and AI by Workato remove daily usage limits in favor of smarter internal rate limits, streamlining automation experiences. Additional updates across EDI, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Okta enhance integration accuracy, reduce errors, and extend API reach. Curious about these updates? Check out more details here!
Deeper insights into Workspace health with Developer APIs for Performance Copilot
Admins can now programmatically access Performance Copilot health scans across their workspace to improve recipe quality, streamline deployments, and drive better visibility into workspace performance.
- New GET and POST endpoints allow you to retrieve or trigger health scans for any recipe.
- Scan results include health scores, rule violations, and actionable suggestions for performance, cost, security, and quality.
- Integrate scan data into work management tools like Jira, or build custom dashboards for monitoring recipe health at scale.
- Rate limits: up to 60 GET and 20 POST requests per minute.

Dynamic Field Mapping
Dynamic Field Mapping is now available for Embed partners, enabling seamless mapping between third-party systems outside the recipe builder.
- Allows end customers to map standard or custom fields from source steps to a destination step without modifying the core recipe logic.
- Supports both API-based implementation and iFrame widget embedding.
- Ideal for partners looking to provide flexible integrations directly within their own platforms.
- Once enabled for an Embed partner, the feature is available to all their end customers.

Data Tables – Move to Assets
Data Tables are now categorized as assets and have been moved out of their dedicated project tab and into the Assets section alongside other components.
- Aligns Data Tables with Workato’s standardized asset structure, improving project organization.
- Enables builders to group and manage Data Tables within folders, just like recipes, connections, and other asset types.
- Supports a more consistent experience as Workato introduces new asset types like Data Pipelines.

Full Deprecation of Legacy API keys
As part of our transition to industry-standard token-based security, legacy API key authentication will be fully deprecated on July 14, 2025.
- API requests using legacy API key + email authentication will no longer be supported after this date.
- Customers must migrate to API client authentication using bearer tokens.
- Required steps include creating a new API client, assigning appropriate roles, generating a new token, and updating applications to use the new Authorization: Bearer header.
- We recommend deleting any legacy “Migrated API Client” after confirming all systems are updated.
Learn more in the Workato API migration docs.
AWS IAM Role Sharing
AWS IAM Role Sharing is now available for Automation HQ (AHQ) customers, streamlining AWS access management across parent and child workspaces:
- When enabled, child workspaces now inherit the same External ID as the parent workspace's environment, removing the need to manage workspace unique IDs individually.
- Simplifies access control for AWS resources like Secrets Manager, S3, and IAM-authenticated connectors.
- Improves security and governance by enforcing consistent IAM policies across all workspaces.
- Reduces administrative overhead and minimizes compliance risks for enterprises with complex AHQ environments.
