Changelog
Keep up with the latest updates we’ve made in Workato.
Streamlined project deployment flow
The project deployment workflow is now streamlined to make deployments faster and increase the context and accuracy of each deployment. Here's what's changed:
- When deploying a project, you can now start with the simple Deploy to dropdown to quickly pick your target environment, or download a zip file of the project.
- If there is a previous deployment to the same environment, the new Review changes interface summarizes what has changed to provide transparency and clarity.
- The Add details interface allows you to give a name and description to this deployment, which will be shown on the deployments tab.
Customized field validations for input data in Workflow Apps
Within the Workflow App page builder, you can now define custom validation rules for input fields by selecting an input type, then further specifying a minimum or maximum length, or a regular expression rule to match in the field.
Addition of recipe version comment to existing GET APIs
A new field, version_comment
, has been added to several existing API endpoints.
For the Developer API:
GET /api/recipes
GET /api/recipes/:id
For the Embedded API:
GET /api/managed_users/:id/recipes
GET /api/managed_users/:id/recipes/:recipe_id
Workato Insights: Now Generally Available
The Workato Insights platform is now generally available to customers. Workato Insights can be used to measure platform usage, automation impact and ROI, and process and Workflow App analytics, all with a no-code widget and query builder experience.
Insights is available in two interfaces:
- Workato: Left navigation Platform > Insights
- Workflow Apps: Available as a page layout
New Developer API endpoint to update collaborator roles
A new endpoint has been released to assist in workspace administration: `PUT /api/members/:id`. This endpoint allows modification of collaborator roles in one or all environments.
Automatically populate fields for an SAP table with the SAP RFC connector
Starting from OPA version 24.2, you will now be able to get SAP table fields populated along with their description and data type in Workato. This enhancement reduces manual effort required to provide the technical field names for an SAP table, and eliminates the need for additional steps or tasks in a recipe fetching field names.
Additional permission for partial workspace settings visibility and editing
Within your custom role settings, you can now allow users to have partial visibility and edit permissions to the workspace settings. When enabled, users with this permission can view and edit the Workspace information, notifications, and AI feature settings, and view the subscription plan details.
By default, this permission is disabled for custom roles, and will need to be manually enabled if desired.
Updated navigation item: Dashboard > Operations hub
Within the Workato app, you will now see a new left navigation header: Operations hub. Operations hub currently houses the Dashboard, but also sets the stage for future releases around administration and operations.
OData V4 support for SAP OData connector
