Changelog
Keep up with the latest updates we’ve made in Workato.
Customizable interface design for Embedded partners
A new theme editor gives Embedded partners more creative reign over their interface design. Apply your brand colors, fonts, and choose between a dark and light theme.
Find more details in its documentation.
SQL Transformations for ETL/ELT (beta)
SQL Transformations is a new connector that allows users to query through large volumes of data from multiple sources, within the recipes. The transformed data can further be loaded to any destination or stored as a file for future use within Workato.
This beta connector release is a major enhancement for ETL/ELT capabilities. To learn more please visit the documentation.
Python connector now supports pandas
Popular Python library, pandas, can now be accessed on the Python connector, making it easier for users to add custom Python code to recipes—for powerful data transformations.
Easier troubleshooting with Workato Logs
Our new Logs feature captures every recipe’s log entries—even its repeated steps.
Use it to search through log entries and troubleshoot your recipes with greater ease.
See more in the documentation on Workato logs, and contact your customer success manager to start logging.
Build better connectors with these Connector SDK enhancements
SDK developers can now:
- Build multiple authentication flows—including OAuth2—into a single connector
- Automatically enable PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange) for any OAuth2 authorization code grant
- Directly retrieve webhook URLs from recipe editor
- Build hybrid (webhook and polling) triggers to poll for new records
- Build refresh logic into your webhook triggers so there’s no need to refresh your webhook subscription
- Create JSON web tokens (JWT) for a larger set of APIs with these new algorithms
Safely empower business teams with Automation HQ
Automation HQ gives IT admins a central console to set up:
- Dedicated workspaces for business units (marketing, sales, finance, and HR etc.)
- User access and admin roles across workspaces
- Connections to your organization’s apps
- Usage policies and allocate resources like recipes and tasks
See more about Automation HQ in this blog post.
Marketo flow steps setup now easier
Self Service Flow Steps is a new Marketo feature. With it, users can build reusable custom steps that call out to other apps with customer data.
While it can involve a lot of custom code to set up, Workato users can now create these flow steps the easier way: with a recipe.
Building connectors now easier with OpenAPI Specifications
Save weeks of development work when you use OpenAPI Specifications (OAS) to build your own custom Workato connectors.
Users have the option of creating a connector from an OAS document, or a sample code.
See more in the OAS generation documentation.
Custom OAuth profiles for Embedded partners
Embedded partners can now create custom apps (on supported connectors) and connect them to Workato.
This gives partners control over the app’s branding, permission scopes, and OAuth profile.
See the list of supported connectors and other details.
New Platform APIs for Embedded partners
Embedded partners can now create, update and remove connectors shared with their customers—before pushing these updates into customers’ accounts. No installation needed. Read more on these four new APIs.
