Workato ONE : The WoW Release

New Workato One Hero

AI pilots are everywhere — but real value still feels out of reach.

One team builds a chatbot. Another experiments with LLMs for customer support. Suddenly, your enterprise is swimming in agents that don’t talk to each other, don’t share context, and don’t have clear governance. You’re left with agentic sprawl, not agentic execution.

That’s where Workato ONE comes in.

This week at WOW 2025, we launched the Workato ONE WoW Release — the most significant expansion of the platform to date. It introduces everything you need to move from fragmented AI tools to a coordinated system of autonomous agents, grounded in real enterprise data and built with enterprise trust.

What is Workato ONE?

Workato ONE is the foundation for the Agentic Enterprise — not just a platform for building agents, but the Agentic Stack that brings AI, enterprise systems, and human workflows into one cohesive architecture.

We launched Workato ONE earlier this year with a clear vision: to move beyond disconnected copilots and bring real AI execution to the enterprise. That required more than just building agents — it meant solving for context, orchestration, and trust at scale.

Workato ONE does that by unifying:

  • Enterprise Orchestration – Connecting your apps, data, workflows, and agents so they can work together to get the job done
  • Enterprise Skills – Reusable, governed building blocks that let you encode how work gets done across systems and teams
  • Enterprise Context – Giving agents and automations deep awareness of your business — from customer data to approval logic to regulatory policies
  • Enterprise Trust – Enforcing security, governance, data privacy, and explainability across all agents, automations, and data on the platform — so AI actions are transparent, compliant, and trustworthy.

With the WoW release, Workato ONE evolves from an agentic foundation into a fully operational system for running your business on AI.

This update delivers three key advancements:

  1. Smarter agents that understand goals, context, and domain-specific logic
  2. Coordinated orchestration and trust across teams, systems, and agent networks
  3. A stronger orchestration core that powers every agent and automation with enterprise-wide knowledge, adaptable decisioning, and governance at scale.”

Together, these unlock a new level of autonomous execution — where AI doesn’t just assist, but drives outcomes across the enterprise.

Build Smarter, Context-Aware Agents

New features make it easier than ever to build enterprise-grade agents that don’t just act — they understand.

  • Agent Studio is a visual, low-code environment for building agents with orchestrated steps, trust policies, and goals.
Workato ONE platform Agent Studio

In this release, Agent Studio has a new paradigm for building agents that lets you add a job description that acts as a prompt to share their actions. We have also added the ability to easily define triggers for Agents, allowing them to be part of real business processes to move beyond a chat interface.

  • Enterprise Skills let agents do more than think — they let them act. These prebuilt, reusable units of logic enable agents to take meaningful, context-aware actions such as summarizing content, classifying requests, querying systems, transforming data, or executing multi-step workflows. Grounded in Workato’s decade-long iPaaS expertise — and proven in over 850 billion actions — Enterprise Skills give agents instant access to trusted integrations and orchestration patterns. From ERP updates and HR provisioning to quoting, approvals, and escalations, these skills are the execution muscle behind every intelligent agent.
  • Agent Knowledge Base provides the context agents need to reason, adapt, and speak the language of your business. This centralized, evolving memory layer continuously unifies business data, enterprise knowledge, and corporate datasets into a single, context-rich fabric. With semantic models, vector embeddings, and entity relationships, it enables agents to retrieve and act on the right information securely, in line with policy. Built-in semantic search, RAG, and federated queries let agents work as if your distributed data were a single source of truth — delivering faster, more accurate, and more relevant outcomes.

Coordinate and Govern Agents at Scale

You’re not just building one agent — you’re deploying dozens. Workato ONE now gives you everything you need to orchestrate and govern a multi-agent system.

  • Agent Orchestrator is a visual control plane for deploying, managing, and coordinating AI agents across your enterprise. It ensures agents from any source — Workato, SaaS vendors, hyperscalers, or custom frameworks — work together under shared governance, security, and context. Without orchestration, agents risk becoming isolated silos. The Collaborator unifies them, assigns responsibilities, enforces guardrails, and coordinates actions across systems. Agents can be event-triggered, work in sync with humans in Slack or Teams, and operate as part of a cohesive digital workforce.

  • Agent Trust includes enterprise-grade security, governance, and auditing so every agent operates with confidence and control. Security verifies every user and action. Explainability makes decisions and outcomes transparent and verifiable. Governance defines the data agents can access and the actions they can take. Observability delivers real-time monitoring with audit-ready logs. In this release we add protection for sensitive data through PII masking and de-identification.
  • Workato Enterprise MCP (Model Context Protocol) allows orchestrations built in Workato to be published as secure, callable APIs or services — making them discoverable and executable by other agents, systems, or LLMs, both inside and outside the enterprise. Workato MCP lets you compose and host secure, custom MCP servers for any service and across any application, making them shareable across your enterprise with complete governance and control. This unlocks a powerful new model where agents can compose actions, delegate tasks, and orchestrate workflows across organizational and technical boundaries. Learn more in our MCP announcement blog.

A Stronger Orchestration Core for the Agentic Enterprise

The WoW release doesn’t just bring new capabilities for agents — it strengthens the core orchestration layer that powers everything in the Agentic Enterprise.

  • Decision Models is an all-new capability, now available in public preview, that brings decisioning into the heart of Workato orchestrations for the first time. It introduces built-in support for both human-in-the-loop and AI-in-the-loop decisioning, allowing workflows to adapt in real time based on context, thresholds, or user input — something previously only possible through custom logic. This unlocks entirely new classes of use cases, from automating complex compliance processes like KYC, to orchestrating multi-step approvals, routing, and escalations with centralized, scalable rule logic. Teams can now create and manage sophisticated business rules without embedding them directly in recipes, reducing complexity, improving maintainability, and ensuring every decision is fast, accurate, and fully governed.

  • Workato EDI is a brand-new capability that reimagines EDI for the modern enterprise. Powered by Orderful, it combines a modern EDI network with enterprise-grade integration, orchestration, and security — uniting what were once separate, manual processes into a single, intelligent workflow. For the first time, trading partner onboarding, configuration, and transaction monitoring all live inside the same platform that runs your automations. Prebuilt partner configurations and reusable templates cut setup from weeks to hours, with go-live in days. AI-driven orchestration adapts workflows in real time, detecting and resolving integration errors automatically across ERP, WMS, TMS, and other connected systems — after documents are validated by Orderful. By connecting EDI management, integration, and automation in one place, Workato EDI delivers faster onboarding, greater reliability, and full lifecycle visibility.
  • Workato IDP unlocks unstructured content like PDFs, emails, and contracts by turning them into structured, orchestratable data that agents and workflows can act on. In this release IDP moves to GA and delivers improved accuracy, completeness and confidence scoring.
  • Data Orchestration moves and transforms data across your cloud apps, APIs, warehouses, and data lakes with governance and precision — ensuring every agent and automation starts with usable, trustworthy inputs. This release expands Data Pipelines with new sources like Salesforce, Marketo, Jira, NetSuite, Coupa, Azure Blob Storage, and Amazon S3, plus new destinations including Snowflake and Databricks. It also introduces a Data Operations Dashboard, data masking for sensitive fields, object resyncs, and recipe triggers — giving teams more control, compliance, and visibility over the entire data lifecycle.
  • Workato AIRO™ in private preview in this release is your AI copilot for turning ideas into orchestrated, enterprise-ready solutions. Drawing on deep knowledge of your workspace — from systems, processes, and business rules to roles, permissions, and past work — AIRO designs, generates, and optimizes everything from recipes and connectors to full multi-agent orchestrations. It accelerates build, test, and deploy cycles while ensuring every output is grounded in enterprise context, compliance, and best practices.

Paired with Agent Acumen, AIRO doesn’t just help you build — it helps you see and understand. Acumen organizes and interprets enterprise data to generate contextual insights, rich visualizations, and trend analysis, making it easy to pinpoint production issues, spot opportunities, and guide continuous optimization. Together, AIRO and Acumen turn orchestration into a full-cycle loop of creation, execution, and improvement.

These enhancements make Workato ONE not just the system to build agents on — but the system agents rely on to take action. Speaking of agents we also announced Workato Genies built on top of Workato ONE. Read all about them here
