Workato GO: Moving From AI Ideas to Enterprise Action

Meet Workato GO: Your AI-powered Workspace for Effortless Productivity

Most of us have tried out AI in some form, whether it is asking ChatGPT to draft an email, using a copilot inside Salesforce, or searching across company docs. These tools are helpful, even fun. But when it comes to getting actual enterprise work done, work that spans apps, processes, and people, they fall short.

At this year’s Workato’s WOW Conference, I sat down with Dalan Winbush, CIO of Nasuni, to talk about Workato Go: our AI powered workspace designed to close that gap. Go brings together enterprise search, employee assist, and what we call Deep Action so every employee can not just find information, but actually move work forward.

The State of AI at Work

Most AI experiences today live in silos. Chat assistants are great at generating content but cannot take action across your enterprise stack with the right context or governance. Enterprise search tools are good at finding files but they cannot understand your processes or push work to completion. Copilots inside SaaS apps are useful within their own walls but disconnected from the bigger picture. And point solutions often stop at the demo stage, not ready for production scale.

The result is a disconnected employee experience. That is exactly what Go was designed to solve.

What Makes Workato Go Different

Architecture of Workato GO.

Go is a super app powered by agents. It combines three capabilities into one place:

  • Enterprise Search: A single interface to query knowledge across Google Drive, Confluence, Jira, Salesforce, and more. We combine indexing and real time federation while respecting native role based access controls. The result is relevant answers with built in permissions.
  • Employee Assist: Out of the box genies help with day to day tasks like expenses, PTO, and meeting prep. You can ask, “What should I know before my 2 pm customer meeting?” and get a focused brief from your calendar, notes, and connected systems.
  • Deep Action: Go goes beyond creating tickets or summarizing. Because it sits on Workato One, it can orchestrate processes end to end, spanning multiple apps and people, and keep work moving until it is done.

Action Board: Managing Your Digital Coworkers

Example of Workato GO User Interface.

Agents are more than bots. They are teammates with goals and KPIs. With Action Board you can:

  • Pin the agents you rely on most
  • Track their performance and outcomes
  • See alerts and approvals in one panel and act on them quickly

It is the same management loop you would expect for a team, applied to your digital workforce.

Insights From the Field

I was joined on stage by Dalan Winbush, who has led AI and IT portfolios at scale across Comcast, Quickbase, and now Nasuni. Dalan shared why agents matter in practice and how to make them deliver business value.

  • Agents need to be proactive, not reactive. They should surface issues you did not know to ask about and take action, not just suggest next steps.
  • The best starting point is where revenue lives. Sales, marketing, and support are the functions where value shows up fastest.
  • Success depends on tying agents to business KPIs. Pipeline created, renewal risk reduced, or tickets resolved are the numbers that prove value.
  • This shift requires new ways of working. Dalan described it as Infrastructure 3.0, where IT manages agents like assets with identity, observability, and governance.

Built on Workato One

Go is part of Workato One, the platform where AI gets to work. That means governance, security, and observability are built in from the start. The same foundation that powers integration and automation now powers enterprise ready agents.

Looking Ahead

Workato Go already includes enterprise search, employee assist, Action Board, and a mobile app in beta. Next, we are working on:

  • Go as an MCP client so you can bring in external tools directly into chat
  • Saved prompts that combine tools and sources into reusable templates
  • Optional Slack access for Go functionality
  • End user friendly genie creation
  • More analytics, voice and video support, and agent to agent orchestration
  • An embeddable Go widget to bring the experience into your own applications

Key Takeaways

AI will only matter in the enterprise if it can act with context, connect across systems, and stay within guardrails. Workato Go was built for that. One place to search, one place to ask, and one place where agents move work forward.
