Keep up with the latest updates we’ve made in Workato.
i18n V1 Release
We are excited to announce the beta launch of our internationalization (i18n) capabilities, starting with our Japanese customers. This feature eliminates the need for workarounds like AI translators, making Workato more accessible globally.
This beta supports seven languages (JP, KR, ZH, DE, ES, FR, PT) and allows distributed teams to collaborate on automations without language barriers. Users can select their preferred language in their profile settings without affecting others.

Advanced Project-Level Permissions
With Project-Level Permissions, Project Administrators can give access rights to users on a project-level as well as on an environment-level basis. This gives admins more control over access rights, minimizing potential security risks.
What's new:
- Granular project permissions: Set access levels for each project. For example, for Project A a user may have a read-only permission, while in Project B they have full access.
- Collaborator groups: Set permission groups for quicker RBAC.
- New Project Administrator role: Project Administrators have project-level access management without workspace admin rights.
- Scalability: Developer API support + SAML/SCIM integration for group management.
Prerequisites:
Customers MUST have an empty home assets folders before enabling. Home assets will be converted to regular projects. Reach out to your CSM for access.
System Role Permission Updates
We’re enhancing the Analyst and Operator system roles to provide access to new features, expanding capabilities while preserving each role’s core responsibilities.
How to Enable: Workspace admins can enable these features as needed.
What’s Changing:
Operator Role:
- Read access added for Genies, Knowledge Bases, and Data Pipelines.
Analyst Role:
- Full access added for Genies, Knowledge Bases, and Data Pipelines.
- Deployment permissions upgraded from “Deploy” to “Deploy, Review”
- Full access to Insights, our data visualization and manipulation engine.
For more granular permission control, we recommend using custom roles.
Timeline: These changes will take effect on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
Page Actions for Low Code Apps
Low Code Apps page actions bridge the gap between your user interface and backend automation. Button clicks, page loads, and dropdown changes can now trigger real-time recipe invocations, with instant responses for your users.
Enhance your users' experiences by displaying dynamic information directly on the page, such as available vacation time on a PTO request. Directly linking UI events to workflows enables users of all skill levels to develop custom front-ends for business apps (e.g, CRM, ERP, and HRIS), interactive interfaces for headless systems and APIs, and intuitive configuration panels.
Display Images from URLs
Enrich your low code apps with visual content! You can now display images from URLs, creating more engaging user experiences.
Table widget improvements
Improvements for table widget in Low Code Apps:
- Lock and unlock columns: Control edit access by making specific columns read-only, maintaining editability for the rest.
- Add/Remove row permissions: Control whether rows can be added or deleted.
- Smart column sizing: Users can adjust column widths to match their workflow, with preferences automatically saved for future sessions
