We are proud to announce the recent release of proactive messaging functionality on Workbot for Microsoft Teams.
What is proactive messaging?
Proactive messaging means that Workbot can send a DM to a user without the user having prior contact with Workbot. Before, posting messages in Teams worked almost exclusively with bot commands or in response to an event within Teams.
What’s new?
Now, trigger events can happen outside of Microsoft Teams – and you can still send a DM to a user – e.g a critical event in Splunk posts a message to a DevOps engineer in Teams.
This enhancement creates a richer experience for approval workflows (hiring/onboarding, PTO, expense, PO, etc).
