HL7

Enhancement

HL7, or Health Level Seven, is a set of international standards for the exchange, integration, sharing, and retrieval of electronic health information. HL7 messages are a key component of this standard, and they serve as the format for exchanging information between healthcare applications. These messages are structured in a way that allows different systems to understand and interpret the data consistently. HL7 messages can be used for various purposes, including transmitting patient demographic information, laboratory results, clinical observations, and administrative data.

This HL7 Workato Connector allows you to send and receive HL7 messages in different versions. It consists of this platform connector and a corresponding OPA extension.

  • Updated the logic for generating webhook keys. The key will now match based on the parent type as well. Example: ADT_AXX can now match with ADT_A01 and ADT_A02.

It supports a broad range of parsing use cases, accommodating both fixed-width (Delimiter) and dynamic-width (Position-Length) formats with single or multiple schemas, and handling linear as well as hierarchically nested data structures for the flat files.

  • Added support to create flat files from JSON using custom configurations.

  • Added action for creating flat files. The user can provide column specifications, and based on that, a flat file will be generated.
