SOAP

Enhancement

Workato’s SOAP connector is a universal connector that can be used to connect to any web service through the use of WSDL descriptions.

Enhancements made:

• Added support for “Enable MTOM” and “MTOM threshold (bytes)” in the connection configuration, which can be used to enable the MTOM support. When enabled:

  • Large binary attachments are transmitted more efficiently using MTOM (Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism).

  • Binary data larger than the specified threshold (default: 1024 bytes) is sent as an MTOM attachment, while smaller data is sent inline.

• Added an option to choose between Parsed and Raw response modes.

  • When Parsed is selected, the response is processed using the schema defined in the WSDL.

  • When Raw is selected, the connector skips parsing and returns the raw SOAP envelope as-is. In this mode, even if the response contains an error or fault, it will still be returned directly, and the job will be marked as successful.

• Added the ability to send receive SOAP headers

Bug fixes made:

• Updated the code to dynamically inherit the namespace context from parent class annotations, ensuring elements correctly follow their inheritance hierarchy. This prevents the generation of empty namespaces for any fields.
