Product Scoop – March 2025
This month, there’s a lot to cover, including some exciting new capabilities in Workato Orchestrate, such as data customized to your business. Also, the newly announced Workato Agentic is here to help you build, deploy, and manage intelligent AI Agents. Let’s start there.
Workato Agentic – Agent Studio
Rapidly build and deploy AI agents across your business
Public Beta
The impact of AI innovations like ChatGPT on individual productivity is undeniable. But what if you could harness that intelligence across your entire organization? That’s the power of AI Agents – intelligent systems that can reason, understand your business, and take action.
Introducing Agent Studio, the fastest way for your enterprise to deploy AI Agents (we call them Genies) that truly transform your business. Unlike siloed single-purpose solutions that are costly to maintain, Agent Studio provides a unified platform to build and orchestrate Genies across IT, finance, HR, sales, and beyond.
Because Agent Studio is built on Workato, your Genies can connect and interact with thousands of your existing business applications and workflows. This means real, actionable automation across your key business processes.
Insights
See your business clearly with calculated columns
Business and Enterprise
We’re thrilled to announce a new way to understand your business impact: calculate custom KPIs directly within your Insights columns. Use arithmetic and logical operators, along with datetime functions, to display the metrics you need – right within Insights.
With this new feature, you can:
- Calculate KPIs: Understand your ROI, total cost of ownership, and department-specific pricing using your own unit costs.
- Track timeframes: Measure elapsed time between events like Mean-Time-to-Resolution (MTTR) and ensure your teams are meeting service level agreements.
- Tailor data to your business: Convert dates to financial quarters and create department-specific data views.
Low Code Apps
Expand your reach: Public form submissions are here
Business and Enterprise
Now you can collect information and process requests from users outside your organization – no login required! Public form submissions for Low Code Apps open up exciting new use cases like job applications, vendor registrations, feedback forms, and more.
Enjoy secure file uploads and built-in Captcha protection for data integrity and peace of mind.
💡Bonus Tip: Streamline the user experience even further by pre-filling form fields. Learn how in our documentation!
The Data Tables connector now includes Batch Triggers
All Plans
Designed to boost efficiency, these triggers replace the need for recipe looping. Building on our previous support for batch actions, these new batch triggers complement our real-time triggers, enabling use cases such as batched recaps and synchronization of changes within your Data Tables.
Connectivity
Google connectors and enhanced SAP connector capabilities
All Plans
All of Workato’s Google connectors are now fully verified, eliminating untrusted warnings and simplifying integrations. Additionally, the SAP OData connector allows you to execute multiple operations in a single request, reducing API calls, improving performance, and simplifying implementation.
Check out the full community and platform connector blogs on our Product Hub for the full scoop on connector releases.
Builder Experience
Enhanced debugging for custom scripts
All Plans
Now, when your Ruby, Python, or JavaScript snippet actions encounter an error, you’ll get detailed error stacktraces and logging directly within Workato. Previously, you received a general error message. With this enhancement, the “Error” tab in your job history will now display the relevant stacktrace, clearly highlighting the line(s) of code contributing to the error. Experience faster and more effective debugging of your custom scripts!
We’re also excited to announce that Ruby snippets now support puts
statements for logging! In the past, debugging custom Ruby scripts could be challenging without the ability to see intermediate values. But now, just like with Python‘s print
and JavaScript‘s console.log
, you can use the familiar puts
command in your Ruby snippets to log important information.
