Xemplo was built to solve one of workforce management’s most persistent problems: to bridge the gap between legislation, compliance, HR, and payroll processes.
Historically, these departments have operated in silos. Compliance was difficult to maintain and worker lifecycle management was unnecessarily complex. But even as Xemplo unified those workflows, a broader disconnection remained: the tools that recruitment agencies relied on most were still beyond Xemplo’s reach.
For most agencies, the recruitment process starts in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) like Bullhorn for Salesforce. Xemplo handles everything else that follows: onboarding, contracts, timesheets, payroll, and compliance. Unfortunately, Xemplo had no real way to connect these two critical processes.
This resulted in a process that required frequent manual data re-entry, where even the smallest error could lead to legal consequences. Wrong employment types, mismatched field values, missed assignment; each handoff became a compliance liability.
A native integration might have seemed like the straightforward fix. But, with highly configurable tools like Bullhorn for Salesforce, Xemplo ran the risk of building a rigid, point-to-point integration that locked them into a specific configuration and would also break with customer customizations. This would also require significant ongoing engineering investment as both platforms evolved.
