Challenge 1: Complex, end-to-end customer journeys
Challenge 2: Fragile legacy integrations
Challenge 3: Scaling fast with a lean team
Lucid Motors is orchestrating far more than the production of electric vehicles, it’s delivering a fully connected experience across customers, employees, vehicles, and partners. Each of these journeys spans multiple systems, from CRM and ERP to supply chain, financing, logistics, and global communication channels. To deliver a seamless, luxury experience, all of these systems must operate as one in real time.
But early integration approaches couldn’t keep up. Point-to-point integrations, especially between core systems like Salesforce and SAP, were fragile and unreliable. Transaction failures, inconsistent data, and manual intervention slowed teams down and introduced risk at critical moments in the customer journey.
At the same time, Lucid was scaling at an extraordinary pace. The company was expanding globally, launching new vehicle models, and evolving its business model — all while a relatively small team was expected to deliver multiple capabilities across the business. Supporting over 100 integrations within a single journey became the norm.
“We were trying to scale globally with a very small team, while supporting multiple integrations across the entire customer journey, that level of complexity required a different approach” said Ravi Mikkilineni, Head of Global Sales and eCommerce Systems.
Without a more scalable foundation, Lucid risked falling short of its own standard: delivering a zero-compromise experience that matches the quality of its vehicles.
