Completing these safety reports was time consuming and often took employees up to four hours to complete.
Additionally, the manual nature of these forms delayed the analysis of safety information for trend identification. Accessing raw data for analysis was difficult and required IT intervention.

The previous system frequently experienced downtime for maintenance and updates. A major drawback were the work hours required for reporting, and this was compounded by system downtime for upgrades, which could last up to four hours and forced team members to document everything on paper. Using pre-built connectors, they quickly integrated their essential systems, such as SFTP, Smartsheets, and their dispatching platform, with their safety reporting forms. Within just two months, they developed eight low-code workflow apps and now have ten safety workflows, two maintenance workflows, and one customer service workflow in production.

Now, Air Methods has a secure data bridge connecting their on-premise and cloud-based systems, enabling the creation of new dashboards that provide immediate access to real-time information. This reliable and consistent access allows them to deliver better care for patients.

By using Workato to orchestrate its safety reports, Air Methods saw a 21% increase in submissions and a 50% reduction in reporting time, decreasing it from 1.5 hours to under 45 minutes. This efficiency gain freed up valuable personnel time for critical tasks, while improved data insights facilitated faster decision-making.
