Our latest deep dive explores how automation can save more than just time and money; it can also drive connection in our remote world.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re excited to share our findings with you.<strong><em> &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/public-workato-files.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com\/Uploads\/automate-to-elevate-report-4.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Automate to Elevate: How Automation is Supercharging Connection, Collaboration, and Creativity in the Workplace<\/a>.&#8217;<\/em><\/strong> is a comprehensive study. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The study was conducted in collaboration with independent market research company Sago, which surveyed 1,000 U.S. and U.K. workers across various levels and departments to understand the impact of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.workato.com\/the-connector\/process-automation\/\">automation<\/a> on modern workplaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s a taste of what we learned:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Insights<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Increased Time for Meaningful Work<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nearly 9 out of 10 people (87%) say automation saves them time, particularly in tedious or mundane tasks. This time savings allows workers to focus on meaningful, deep-thought work or collaboration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, 83% of workers say that automation <em>eliminates busy work<\/em>, enabling them to operate at their highest potential.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog2workato.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Workato-2-19.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog2workato.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Workato-2-19.png\" alt=\"We found that workers with strong workplace relationships are more likely to use automation daily.\" class=\"wp-image-44428\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Building Workplace Relationships<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">81% of respondents report that building positive relationships and connections with coworkers is crucial for overall job satisfaction. We found that workers with strong workplace relationships are more likely to use automation daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Productivity and Quality of Work<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automation tools not only boost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.workato.com\/the-connector\/best-productivity-bots\/\">productivity<\/a> but also improve the quality of work. More than 1 in 3 people (38%) report being able to focus more on business-critical work, and nearly one-third (28%) feel <em>more creative<\/em> due to the time saved by automation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Collaboration and Innovation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automation is helping bring teams together for collaboration, connection, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.workato.com\/the-connector\/canva-automations\/\">innovation<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">33% of respondents report that they innovate more with their team, and 70% have observed <em>positive changes in collaboration and innovation<\/em> since adopting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibm.com\/think\/topics\/it-automation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">automation tools<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog2workato.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Workato-1-1-6.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog2workato.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Workato-1-1-6.png\" alt=\"While many companies utilize automation, there is still an education gap. \" class=\"wp-image-44429\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5.
