And, like any of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.workato.com\/the-connector\/introducing-automation-accelerators\/\">our accelerators<\/a>, it comes with all of the components you need, such as recipes, instructional guides, and SDKs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can read on to learn about our decision to offer this accelerator, how it works, and the various features it provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why we built this accelerator<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When our embedded clients need to build integrations and automation templates, as well as install individual Workato Workspaces for their end-customers, they typically follow a few steps: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They\u2019ll create and update integrations and build a manifest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage and store integrations and automations, as well as offer them as packages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Import the manifest to end-customers\u2019 workspaces; configure environment properties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authenticate connections.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Performing all these actions at the UI level can not only be very time-consuming but also lead to errors. It also helps automate delivery to multiple Workato environments (for both partners and customers), such as staging and production, while ensuring quality and traceability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This version of the accelerator will provide two views to manage integrations: a Release View and a Customer Workspace View. Let\u2019s explore each:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Release View<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a single pane view of the release and deployment status for selected release\/integration across partner and customer workspaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This view lets you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>View pipeline progress&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote a release to the next environment\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Re-deploy a release to the same environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View a history of deployments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Distribute releases to customer workspaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View customer workspaces where the release is installed<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Customer Workspace View<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a single pane view of releases\/integrations deployed in customer workspaces. It compares a release with the latest release available to provide single-click upgrades\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibm.com\/docs\/en\/tpmfod\/7.1.1.16?topic=r-purpose-redeployment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">redeployments<\/a>, inactivations, and status updates for a release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The CI\/CD Accelerator\u2019s features<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To better understand the accelerator\u2019s capabilities, let\u2019s review it across several facets:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Traceability<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The option to mark a recipe with the release name and version in order to track the release that created\/updated a recipe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All actions by users can be stored in a lookup table. Security and compliance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fine-grained access control to the accelerator for various stakeholders, i.e., developers, administrators, approvers, and external teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Embedded partners may need to have approval for certain environments&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Embedded partners have the flexibility to set up approvals for specific environments to deploy and distribute releases to customer workspaces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Built-in support to check and enforce code quality when a release is created<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Checks if release to the next environment is allowed or not based on configurations set in the environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support for encrypting\/decrypting properties and connection authentication inputs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Source code management<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support for GitHub to store release packages and environment-specific configurations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Customizable in order to support any version control system with limited changes to specific recipes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to have a single GitHub repository or different GitHub repositories for each manifest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a GitHub repository if it\u2019s missing and if it\u2019s enabled<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Workspace-specific configurations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support for automating changes in properties for individual partner or customer workspaces.
