Workbot for Teams

Microsoft Teams is the hub for team collaboration in Office 365, a unified communications platform that combines workplace chat, video meetings, file storage and application integration. Those of you using a Microsoft stack at your company will no doubt be familiar with using Teams in your day-to-day correspondence with your colleagues.

Over the past year, we’ve worked on and improved Workbot for Slack and our customers have been all abuzz about a similar, powerful bot experience for MS Teams. We’re glad to announce that our Workbot for MS Teams connector has been given a long-awaited refresh to ensure that you get the most robust capabilities possible.

Here’s a quick summary of what’s new:

  • Simpler, one-word command triggers
  • Task modules
  • Markdown support for rich text
  • Dynamic buttons, choice sets, fact sets

After creating many bot commands to enrich your MS Teams experience, use the ‘help’ command to have Workbot respond with the list of commands available to you.

Automation Dashboard

The Automation Dashboard allows users to visualize real-time data pertaining to the recipes and connections in their Workato account at a glance.

We’re excited to introduce Workato’s automation dashboard – an easy, fast, and simple way to monitor the health of all automations in your account.

With the dashboard, you can:

  • Save time with a summarized view of the health of recipe jobs and connections
  • Spot trends across time and find outliers that directly impact your operations
  • Quickly navigate to issues that need attention and take action with a single click
  • Gain instant access to key insights
  • Swiftly fix issues so that you can move on with your day

Save time by using it to obtain a snapshot of the account’s recipe issues and tackle them more efficiently. Alongside error notification emails, the dashboard goes a step further and helps target the issues that matter — Obtain a big picture view of recipe health, then drill down to the details of particular issues that stand out without going through individual recipes.

At first glance, you can assess the overall health of your automations by reviewing the trends in successful jobs, failed jobs and error rate. You can quickly drill down by choosing a specific period or a set of recipes identified by their status or folder to analyze further.

We’re launching this exciting product this month so keep your eyes peeled for a detailed update!

Job history search

Alongside the Automation Dashboard, we’re introducing a new search capability in the job history page. This feature will allow you to search across the job’s description as well as any defined column in the job history report. Defining columns in the job report now becomes extra important as you can use distinct IDs from your apps or date run on the job to pinpoint the one you need in (less than) a second! Even recipes will millions of jobs will not faze this handy search tool.

We hope this feature helps you find the jobs you need to rerun or check quickly without having to go through each page of the job history report. This feature is due to launch this month as well and we can’t wait for you to try it out. Again, keep a lookout for our post when this feature releases.
